About Friends of Yakima Valley School
FYVS
Friends of Yakima Valley School (FYVS) is the recognized support group of Families, Guardians and Friends of the residents of the state run central core facility,Yakima Valley School for the Developmentally Disabled in Selah, WA. FYVS was incorporated as a Federally approved 501(c)3 non profit in 1997.
Our stated goals have always been to promote general welfare of all developmentally disabled people, but especially those at Yakima Valley School. We meet regularly as a group with Yakima Valley School staff, and raise funds to organize socials, parties and picnics on campus.
We also publish a newsletter. A copy of our most recent newsletter is on this website.
FYVS is also a UGN approved organization and UGN contributions can be directed to FYVS as donations. All contributions are tax deductible.
